Duterte arrives in renaming ceremony of Quezon City road
Vice President Sara Duterte arrives at the unveiling of the Miriam Defensor Santiago Avenue in Quezon City on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023. Duterte is greeted by Santiago's husband and lawyer Jun Santiago, Quezon City Mayor Josefina "Joy" Belmonte, and Quezon City 1st Dist. Rep. Juan Carlos Atayde were also present. The former senator known for her feisty conduct and sharp wit, succumbed to cancer in 2016. She ran for president in 1992 but lost to then Defense secretary Fidel Ramos.
