Colombia: Mothers of 'False Positives' Victims Sue Uribe

2015-12-15 1

A group of mothers whose sons were murdered by Colombian military forces in 2008 are suing ex President Alvaro Uribe for slander after he posted on his Twitter account on Friday that the boys were criminals. Former investigations have revealed that the youths were killed in operations known as the “false positives” scandal. After being told that they had been selected for a job, the boys were delivered to the 15th Brigade of the Colombian Army, dressed as guerrilla fighters, buried in mass graves and reported as guerrillas in combat. teleSUR
