Colombia: 4 Ex-Generals Interrogated in "False Positives" Scandal

2015-06-25 2

Four retired Colombian generals have been called in for interrogation by the Attorney General investigating the "false positives" scandal. This refers to the military's practice of killing innocent civilians and dressing their bodies in rebel uniforms so as to artificially raise the enemy body count and claim that 5,000 such victims of state repression were actually guerrilla fighters. Incentives were offered to the perpetrators for each killing. Natalia Margarita reports from Bogota. teleSUR
