Tirana dhe Prishtina lidhen me rrugën e kombit, por jo vetëm. Projekti me vlere 9 milion euro qe bashkon edhe ne mënyre dixhitale dy vendet tona, është inauguruar ne piken e interkonjeksionit te Qafe-Morinit ne Tropoje. Krerët e te dy qeverive, Sali Berisha dhe Hashim Thaçi, e vlerësuan projektin dixhital si dhurate për 100-vjetorin e pavarësisë, qe do te jete lidhja edhe virtuale e shqiptareve. Arqile Gorea, kreu i postes shqiptare, tregon se autostrada virtuale ka 5 fishuar shpejtësinë e internetit dhe shërbimeve dixhitale te Shqipërisë me Kosovën, por jo vetëm. Për këtë projekt, posta shqiptare ka financuar 2.6 milion euro. Financimi i këtij projekti gjigant, është bere nga dy kompani shqiptare, posta shqiptare, Operatori i sistemit te transmetimit dhe një firme kosovare. Me inaugurimin e autostradës dixhitale ne Shqipëri 5-fishohet shpejtësia e internetit, nga 30 giga bit qe ishte tashme ajo është bere 140 giga bit. Ne te gjithe vendin janë shtrire rreth 1500 kilometër fibër optike, ndërsa 180 kilometra fibra, vetëm ne distancën Qafe-Morine-Tirane.
