Partia Socialiste ka lobuar ne Parlamentin Evropian qe Shqipëria te marre statusin e vendit kandidat. Gjate mbledhjes se grupit parlamentar socialist dhe demokrat ne Parlamentin Evropian kreu i grupit parlamentar te PS Gramoz Ruçi ka bere një përmbledhje te situatës politike ne vend duke theksuar angazhimin e opozitës për te përmbushur 12 rekomandimet për marrjen e statusit te vendit kandidat. Ne përgjigje te kërkesës se Ruçit, presidenti Svoboda dhe Zv presidenti Rucek kane deklaruar se zgjerimi i BE do te vazhdoje pasi Bashkimi Europian nuk mund te jete i plote pa Ballkanin Perëndimor dhe Shqipërinë.
Socialist Party has been lobbying in the European Parliament of Albania receiving candidate status. During the meeting of the Socialist parliamentary group in the European Parliament and Democrat parliamentary group leader of the SP Gramoz Ruchi has made a summary of the political situation in the country, stressing the commitment of the opposition to meet the 12 recommendations for getting the status of candidate country. In response to a request that Ruchi, President and Vice President Svoboda Rucek have stated that EU enlargement will continue as the European Union can not be complete without the Western Balkans and Albania.
