Ne fund te protestës se 21 Janarit, fillimisht me 3 viktima, por qe me pas u shtuan ne 4 dhe me dhjetëra te plagosur, u kuptua qe u ngrit sipari i një historie te gjate hetimesh.
Qe ne fillim Prokuroria nga njëra ane dhe policia nga ana tjetër, duket se u pozicionuan ne dy kampe. Linjat e hetimit dhe urdhrat e arrestit nuk kishin lidhje mes tyre. Ne deklaratën e pare për mediat Drejtoria e Policisë se Shtetit nxori një liste me 113 persona te arrestuar, te gjithë demonstrues te akuzuar se goditen policinë. Sot këto gjykime kane përfunduar. Shumica e demonstruesve janë liruar njeri pas tjetrit. Vetëm pak prej tyre janë dënuar. Po te nesërmen e ngjarjes edhe Prokuroria, nxori 6 urdhër-arreste, te gjithë për drejtues te Gardës se Republikës, te akuzuar për vrasjet ne shesh. Policia refuzoi te zbatonte urdhrin për arrestimet. 1 muaj pas ngjarjes kërkesa për arrestimet ne garde përsëritet nga Prokuroria. Kësaj radhe, prangosen njeri pas tjetrit efektivet Agim Llupo, i cili sipas pamjeve filmike qëlloi mbi Ziver Veizin, Alfred Ametcenaj, zëvendës komandant i Gardës, Sadik Çela, Mark Nikolli dhe Gazmend Ahmetaj. Por ne 2 mars te tre gardistet e akuzuar nga Prokuroria se bënin pjese ne grupin e zjarrit, u liruan nga Gjykata e Apelit. Ne qeli mbeti vetëm Llupo te cilit përveç provave te Prokurorisë iu bashkëngjiten edhe ato te FBI-se, iu shtuan 3 te arrestuarit e një dite me pare, Ndrea Prendi, kreu i Gardës se Republikës, i akuzuar se ka vrare Faik Myrtajn, Margarit Kume, shoferi i tij dhe Armand Kasaj, shefi i IT-se ne kryeministri.
