Luke 4v1-2:- By Baptism of John, the Baptist, Jesus became His Disciple engaging himself in Prayers and Fasting as expected of the Disciples. After this he became sensible of Holy Spirit and the first thing the sons of Satan will do to tempt you away from the Path of God and lure you into the comforts of this crook world of cheating and fleecing as today you watch these American Televangelists do.
You will not come out of the grove of the fashion of the world unless you are saved by God by His Grace through Holy Spirit. So, Jesus had the Holy Spirit yet the Satan tempts him as I tell you next.
The Temptation of Jesus
1 And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness 2 for forty days, being tempted by the devil.
Now, here I would like to say that Jesus on being baptised by John, the Baptist, an Ideal Rabbi, he became the Disciple of John, the Baptist who engaged people in prayers and fasting, to make them aware of the worldly situation where cheating is quite common. So, when a person is being cheated, then you realise that how hungry he goes as Lazarus was sitting before the door of a rich man who had fleeced the poor. Among the Samaritans, there was no cheating or fleecing and they love life more than money as depicted by the Samaritan man who picked up a wounded person. When you become capable of realising this fact, then you become sensible enough to understand and appreciate His Word as the Samaritan Woman at well did and she engaged Jesus in a very deep discussion. She identified the Pearl and told Jesus that you are a Prophet. She even told Jesus what Christ will look like. That is why Jesus told her that He is the Christ. And he ate nothing during those days. And when they were ended, he was hungry.
In Jesus, we are to be solitary.
Flesh + soul = Once-born natural Disciple of the Rabbis
