Japan is currently undergoing a major societal shift. The lifestyles of those in modern Japan have existed for only a single generation. During the post-war period American and Western culture was imported, and a new way of living was established which began to replace the strong traditions that had been relatively unchanged for hundreds of years. Using religion as a subject, Harry Butt & Joseph Higgins investigated this subject and produced O-henro-san, a short film based around a man infatuated with modernity, who travels to the shrine of electricity where he confronts his inner lusts.
