Akhilesh Yadav calls Varun Gandhi over hate speech case

Sources have told TIMES NOW that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav called Varun Gandhi over the hate speech case. The sources added that Akhilesh was told that Varun's acquittal was challenged for political reasons. The Uttar Pradesh government will challenge Pilibhit court's decision acquitting BJP leader Varun Gandhi in two hate speech cases during the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, a senior official had said on Tuesday (May 14). The government will also challenge acquittal of the BJPnational general secretary in a case of vandalism in higher courts.
