Singer arrested in murder-for-hire plot

Tim Lambesis, lead singer for heavy metal band As I Lay Dying, was arrested in California on charges that he sought the help of an undercover detective to have his estranged wife killed.

The singer was taken into custody in Oceanside, near San Diego. He's due to be arraigned in court on Thursday (May 09). So far, police have not disclosed details about why Lambesis might have wanted his wife killed.

Madonna is being honored at the Billboard Music Awards show this month for her 2012 MDNA tour, the highest grossing concert tour of the year.

The singer will accept the Top Touring Artist award for the tour that grossed more than 305 million dollars (USD) from 88 sold-out shows and attracted an audience of 2.2 million people.

David Bowie's latest music video featuring him as a Christ-like figure surrounded by women in skimpy outfits and priests in a bar was slapped with an adult-only rating by video sharing website YouTube on Wednesday (May 07).
