Police have rescued three women from a house in Cleveland Ohio where they were believed to have been held against their will for the past 10 years.

A neighbour told local media that he heard a woman screaming from a house across the street.

(REPORTER ASKING QUESTION) "This young lady identified herself..."

(NEIGHBOUR SAYING) "... as Amanda Berry"

Amanda, seen here on a missing person's poster, disappeared in 2003 when she was a teenager.

Another woman found in the house- Gina DeJesus- had been reported missing since 2004. She was also a teenager at the time of her disappearance.

A third woman named Michelle Knight was also in the house.

Doctors at a nearby hospital where women and children were brought for treatment say everyone appeared to be physically ok.

Police say there are still many unanswered questions about the case.

The owner of the home, 52 year old Ariel Castro, has been arrested.
