A Pakistani television channel was filming at the very moment a second bomb exploded in Karachi.

At least three people died in the back-to-back blasts near the offices of the secular MQM political party.

Dozens more have been wounded.

"It was ten minutes to nine. I was standing at a condiment shop. Suddenly there was a huge blast. I ran to my sister's house nearby and saw a broken tv and glass splinters all over the place. A child had fainted and everyone was terrified. After that there was panic and it was every man for himself."

Police said the second bomb caused more casualties because rescue workers, police and media were on the scene after the first explosion.

Investigators say one bomb was planted in a rickshaw, the other strapped to a motorbike.

The attack comes just a week before Pakistan's general election.
