The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the MQM wants Pakistan to progress and develop according to the vision of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Poet of East Dr Muhammad Iqbal. He appealed to the intellectuals, columnists, and journalists to display unity for a better future of their daughters and for saving Pakistan from falling into the hands of religious extremists and terrorists. He was addressing a huge election meeting in Railway Ground Sukkur via telephone.
