St. Athanasius defended orthodoxy during a time when heresy was more common than the Catholic Truth, and triumphed, but only after much suffering. We too are suffering from what the Fatima seer Lucia called diobolical disorientation, surrounded the modern errors of abortion, contraception, religious indifferentism, the homosexual movement, and more. Let us pray for God to raise up bright and bold lights such as St. Athanasius for our own age. Ave Maria!
