Call of Duty: Ghosts’ full reveal debuting on next Xbox unveil, Grand Theft Auto V characters detailed, and Watch Dogs to deliver exclusive gameplay to PlayStation’s platforms, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. The rumored next entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Ghosts has aligned with the rumored May 1st unveiling. Revealed in a short live-action trailer from Activision, the trailer reveals Infinity Ward is the developer behind the upcoming Call of Duty release, which will appear on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on November 5th along with an appearance on “next generation consoles”. Whether the November 5th release date will apply to “next generation consoles” remains unknown, but Activision has confirmed that on May 21st, they will share the stage with Microsoft at their Xbox reveal event to show off Call of Duty: Ghosts live in action. I wouldn’t say I am surprised by such news considering Microsoft’s strong relationship with the Call of Duty franchise, but I hope to be surprised by the new next-generation Call of Duty engine come May 21st.

As promised by Rockstar Games last week, the latest Grand Theft Auto V trailer has released revealing each of the three character’s skillsets, personalities, and backgrounds. Michael, likely the primary character within the game, is a former bank robber from the East coast who settled a deal with the FBI allowing him to retire in Los Santos, the location of Grand Theft Auto V. While removed from being a criminal, he turns back when his gold digging wife spends most of his fortune. Franklin, ex-Gangster from the streets of South Los Santos, works as a repo man for a luxury car dealership doing whatever it takes to handle those who fail to make their car payments. Franklin and Michael became friends after a previous job completed together and Michael views him as “the son he never had”. Trevor, viewed as the exact opposite of Michael, lives in a trailer park engulfed in filthy living conditions opposed to Michael’s luxury lifestyle. Trevor has no heart and will do whatever is necessary to get by regardless of the pain inflicted. Trevor and Michael were once friends before an unexplained event took place causing the relationship to crash and burn. Seeing how the story unfolds with the launch of Grand Theft Auto V is sure to be exciting and with this being the first time Grand Theft Auto to harness three protagonists, I’m sure later this year possesses an experience that will be remembered for years to come.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, Ubisoft has announced that both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Watch Dogs will include sixty minutes of exclusive gameplay. Ubisoft did not explain what the exclusive gameplay would consist of, but considering the same treatment with Assassin’s Creed 3, Farcry 3, and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 4, its clear Sony has established a strong relationship with Ubisoft.
