U.S. President Barack Obama told reporters the FBI and other government agencies have been on track in their investigations of the Boston Marathon bombing.

"What I can say is that based on what I've seen so far, the FBI performed its duties, Department of Homeland Security did what it was supposed to be doing, but this is hard stuff."

As the investigation continues, FBI officials were seen taking potential evidence from the home of the parents of Katherine Russell, the widow of one of the suspected bombers.

24 year old Russell- seen here in black- was married to Tamerlan Tsarnaev who was killed by police. His brother, 19 year old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, is currently in a prison hospital near Boston.

Three people died and more than 200 were injured in the April 15th attack after homemade explosive devices were detonated near the finish line of the Boston Marathon
