Representatives from Birch Green Care Home stood shoulder to shoulder with the industry’s great and good at a recent awards celebration.
The team, including general manager Catherine Shawarby, also met with celebrity dancer Anton Du Beke when they attended the Great British Care Awards held recently (pictured).
The Birch Green team were shortlisted for the ‘Putting People First’ award in the Great British Care Awards’ national final after being finalists at last year’s regional awards.
A glittering event was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London, for the announcement of the winners.
While the Birch Green representatives did not win a national award, a great evening was had by all who attended – Karen House, Bernadette Forshaw and Emma Nelson.
The event included a champagne reception, gourmet dinner and awards presentation by Anton Du Beke.
Catherine Shawarby said: “Making it to the national finals was an incredible achievement for everyone involved.
“It was great to represent Birch Green and the whole Springhill Care Group at the awards, and meeting Anton was a real treat for everyone.”
