Shark attacks Australian fisherman

An Australian man is rushed to hospital after being attacked by a shark on Sunday.

The 51-year-old suffered deep puncture wounds to his legs.

Alan Saunders, was fishing in knee-deep water when he was bitten by the nurse shark.

He had been trying to free another shark caught in his net, says his brother.

SOUNDBITE) (English) RAY SAUNDERS, VICTIM'S BROTHER, SAYING:

"Alan was involved in removing one of the sharks out of the wings of the net and he released that shark but another shark came in and bit him on both legs."

The attack happened in the New South Wales town of Crowdy Head.
