A road crew leaves a zigzagging, crooked diving line in the road.
Road construction can sometimes lead to confusion among drivers.
Recently a street in Mililani, Hawaii caused some serious bewilderment among motorists.
A temporary line was taped down the center of the road. It was applied by hand after the road was paved and it’s definitely less-than-straight. The construction company behind the work claims the zigzagging, scraggly line is only serving as a temporary marker until the asphalt cures.
Rain reportedly worked against the employees' attempts at applying the tape in a straight line.
The construction crew did return to the site to apply a new, hopefully straighter line of temporary tape.
This isn’t the first such blunder. Last year, a road crew, working in Pennsylvania painted those famous yellow, roadway lines right over a dead raccoon.
According to reports, workers saw the road kill and attempted to stop the paint gun, but it was too late. Although the raccoon remnants were removed, a gap in the yellow lines initially remained where the animal had rested.
