Uncharted 4 or PlayStation 4 date potentially teased in The Last of Us, Bethesda confirms upcoming announcement related to released teaser videos, and Sony states PlayStation 4 is ‘not a successor’ to the PlayStation 3, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Scheduled to release in less than two months on June 14th, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us is sure to be a summer hit for the PlayStation 3 with incredible AI, stunning visuals, and enthralling gameplay, but thanks to a recent screenshot from a scene in the game, speculation outside of The Last of Us has evolved. As seen in the screenshot, there is a ‘Mandatory Evacuation Notice’ sign stating “All residents of Amherst County and all outlying areas are required to evacuate by: 8:00 PM 10/17/13”. With Naughty Dog known for throwing teases within their games, could this date relate to the release date for the PlayStation 4? Could we see an announcement of Uncharted 4 come this day? We likely won’t hear anything official for awhile, but Naughty Dog has once again teased the loyal PlayStation audience.

Speaking of teases, Bethesda Softworks has released their third teaser clip for an unannounced ongoing project via Vine accompanied with the statement “mystery revealed tomorrow @IGN”. Pete Hines, Vice President of Bethesda has went on the record to say “guess again” when confronted about the teasers being related to Fallout 4, so assuming Pete isn’t pulling our legs, I have a pretty good feeling we will see Project Zwei, the survival horror game announced by Bethesda last year, come to life.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, Robert Fisser, General Manager of Sony Middle East, has made an interesting statement regarding the PlayStation 4’s relation to the PS3 “PS4, an addition to the PS family, like PSP and PS Vita, will offer a completely new gaming experience," adding that the PS4 is 'not a successor' to the PS3. This is certainly pleasing to those not willing to adopt the next PlayStation, but how effective this attitude will perform is something we will all have to witness once the PlayStation 4 hits store shelves.
