Al Qarra - President Bashar al-Assad of Syria has accused western countries of supporting Al Qaeda in his country as they did during the Libyan uprising. In a televised interview with Syrian state TV network al-Ikhbariya, he warned that Europe and the US will bear the brunt of their support for Islamist terrorists.

“ They supported Al Qaeda in Afghanistan at the beginning and they paid a heavy price, now they support it in Syria, Libya and other countries and they will also pay the price later in the heart of Europe or in the United States.”
