The world's most expensive smartphone retails for $15 million.

Most people have a smartphone these days. But not quite like this one.

Stuart Hughes, who is behind elite, aftermarket cell phones has recently unveiled a diamond accentuated iPhone 5 valued at $15 million! The new mobile phone is believed to be the world’s most expensive.

Housed in a solid gold handcrafted chassis, the home button is probably the most notable aspect, derived from a huge, single black diamond that weighs 26 carats. That diamond alone is estimated to cost about $14.5 million.

There are also 600 more tiny diamonds surrounding the Apple logo on the back of the phone. Stuart Hughes created the one-of-a-kind iPhone for a Hong Kong- based businessman.

Earlier this year, a British mobile phone company, Vertu, announced an Android phone line. They were handmade in England and featured a sapphire crystal, essentially scratchproof touch screen, a titanium casing, a dual-core 1.7 GHz processor and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

Those added touches would set buyers back $9,600. If that's not enough, the company also offered a model outfitted in rose-gold for just under $20,000.
