A 6-year-old steals his parents' car for a Chinese food run.

Came across an unexpected driver on the road lately?

Recently police in Lapeer, Michigan responded to a report of erratic driving.

Motorists claimed that the operator of the car looked like a small child. When officers arrived on scene, several other drivers had boxed the vehicle in and removed the keys from the ignition.

That’s when police discovered that a 6-year-old boy was behind the wheel. The child had apparently taken the keys off of the counter in his home.

When officers inquired about why he swiped the car, the boy told them he took off to get Chinese food.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.

Last year, a 4-year-old boy reportedly stole his mother's keys while she slept and drove her car almost one third of a mile before getting into a minor crash. The uninjured child was taken back home by a local store employee leaving his mother dumbfounded.

Police officers were also amazed, because the boy successfully made 3 right turns before smashing.
