A 90-year-old lady skydives.
The old saying “you're only as old as you feel” has got to be true.
Recently, a 90-year-old woman, Marion Stangler joined her two sons on a heart pounding excursion.
The elderly lady jumped from a plane 13,000 feet in the air in a skydiving adventure. The trio showed up at the Emerald Coast Skydiving Center in Alabama on a Saturday morning.
After about an hour of preparatory training, they geared up and got ready for the jump. Just before celebrating her 90th birthday, Stangler came up with the idea to go skydiving.
Her sons weren’t thrilled with the decision but decided to join their mother regardless.
Stangler stated - “The free fall was the scariest part. I didn’t think the parachute would ever open and when it did, I didn’t even realize it. But I’m very thankful I’m down on the ground.”
Last year, another 90-year-old lady, Jacquelyn Fleming engaged in a skydiving stunt. Following the jump, she said “I’d do it again in a New York minute. I can do any damn thing I want to.”
