A married man pawns his wedding ring to pay for a prostitute.
Not everyone thinks highly of their marriage vows.
33-year-old Marvin Holmes II recently told officers that he was having troubles with his wife, so he went looking for sex elsewhere.
Holmes found a prostitute, 41-year-old Rhonda Kelley. He didn’t have any money so he offered to pawn his wedding ring to get some fast cash.
According to the police report, the pair drove to a local shop where Holmes gave his ring to Kelley and she pawned it for $20. In turn, she allegedly bought crack which she smoked.
Holmes told officers she began acting strange when they became sexually active so he drove away from where they were parked.
They were charged with solicitation of prostitution.
Last year, a Malaysian parlor took a creative approach to keep their charges affordable. The massage business partnered with a car washing enterprise to offer customers a loyalty card.
A crime prevention official stated "customers must send their cars for washing nine times within a certain period. The tenth car wash will entitle them to free sex." The loyalty program went on for three months, before a police bust ended it.
