Deadly floods descend on Peru

Peru's the latest South American country to suffer the misery of severe and deadly floods.

At least two people have been killed.

Eight more are missing.

Homes and communities across the country are under threat from the rising waters.

This college was among the buildings to fall victim.

The father of one of the students says he's never seen it so bad.

"I'm 65 years old (THIS MAN SAYS) and it's the first time I've seen it like this, this flooding. It's unfortunate."

In Argentina where at least 51 people lost their lives in a massive rainstorm earlier in the week there are protests.

Tempers are rising as the flood waters recede in the city of La Plata.

Food and bedding are being supplied to those left destitute by the storm.

But the protesters heading for city hall want more.

Some are demanding more food supplies, others want compensation
