A man tries to pay a cabbie with marijuana.

A 23-year-old man tried to pay for cab fare with weed, while police were only a few feet away.

Philadelphia officers arrived at the scene because the taxi was double parked. The passenger had left his phone as collateral as he owed the cabbie a few dollars, so police stayed to make sure the debt was paid.

When the male appeared, he reportedly told police that they had to leave. Officers didn’t budge and the man tried to pay for his fare by offering pot instead of cash. The cabbie declined but the male was arrested and charged with marijuana possession.

Last year, a brazen man from Pennsylvania was arrested after allegedly stealing a bag of police confiscated cannabis. 27-year-old, David Allan Thompson reportedly swiped the bag of cannabis from the police station patrol room while conversing with an officer.

When asked "What did you do with the weed?", Thomson handed over the bag replying "I just couldn't help myself. That bud smelled so good."
