MOGA Pro-Controller Hands-On Preview

Disney announced LucasArts was affected by layoffs of around 150 employees.

The Pro-Controller uses an Android app called Pivot to connect to your device via Bluetooth. Once you pair the controller with your device you are ready to play. The app conveniently lists all the MOGA compatible games available in the Google Play store, like Drift Mania, Modern Combat 4, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. They are also working with many indie developers to provide controller support for new and upcoming games.

The controller is laid out very similarly to the Xbox 360 controller with dual sticks, d-pad, and shoulder buttons and triggers.

When using a tablet, the controller provides a simulated big-screen experience that would get from a TV and console.

Right now the price is a little steep at $49.99 for a device that has limited software support, but I'm interested to see what games will have MOGA support in the future. But I will say it is a solid piece of hardware that works exactly how it is intended to, and for that you get a thumbs up MOGA!
