The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his pregnant wife Catherine, on Thursday began their two day visit to Scotland.
In the morning they toured the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, which will become one of the venues for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The Duchess, wearing a tartan mid-length coat over her pregnancy bump and William chatted to young athletes as they watched cyclists in the velodrome.
Later on Thursday the royal pair will visit a homeless charity. The Prince is due to make a Skypeweb call to two homeless Scots in Holland who are taking part in an exchange programme for rough sleepers.
