A Bit of "The Rorschach Saloon" (Art in Paris)

2013-04-04 24

Videos and photos without flash are permitted in Le Palais de Tokyo museum of modern art in Paris, France (métro: TROCADERO) near the Eiffel Tower. As part of the enormous SOLEIL FROID show, which contains many smaller shows, this "Rorschach Saloon" with a "sports hearse" (as I call it) at the exit made me think about the mind, alcoholism and death.

Two other clips of this particular work are posted on YouTube under my CUTECATFAITH and SLOBOMOTION channels respectively. I think this is a good example of multi-media contemporary art/installation which is serious AND fun at the same time.

Some of my art and writings appear in the French FREAK WAVE series of books, and I was a guest on the "Mauvais Genres" radio series in 2013 for FRANCE CULTURE at Radio France in Paris with journalist Céline du Chené. An essay about some of my art and some color plates of it are in MODERN WOMEN, published in 2010 by The Museum of Modern Art in New York. I still sell back issues of BIKINI GIRL via mailorder and am easy to reach via my website. Thank you for watching, and your comments are welcome.
