One of the world's oldest luxury hotels, the Hotel de Crillon in Paris, has closed down for a two-year renovation.
At the weekend, regular guests gathered for a star-studded goodbye to the institution, which overlooks the Place de la Concorde on the Champs Elysees.
Built in 1775, the famed hotel was commissioned by King Louis XV.
