Battlefield 4 to commence battle later this month, video game publisher fails to see PlayStation 4’s benefit over PC, and Electronic Arts announces compensation for the disastrous launch of SimCity, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. With many questions surrounding Battlefield 4 including its potential on next-generation platforms, how EA plans to deliver another fresh warfare experience, and more, Electronic Arts has released a very brief teaser aligned with a tweet stating “Straight from the video editing suite: Prepare 4 Battle – 03.27! This sneak peak now, more soon (Please RT!) #BF4” What EA plans to show on March 27th remains unknown, but as one who loved Battlefield 3, I am stoked to see what EA has accomplished with the latest release in the Battlefield series.

Nordic Games, the small publishing studio behind the recently released Painkiller: Hell & Damnation, has gone the opposite route of most developers and publishers with a statement discounting the PlayStation 4 at its current stage. Reinhard Pollice, business development manager at Nordic Games, spoke on the PS4 by saying “I like a few functions that were announced but so far I personally cannot see a real benefit from buying that instead of a gaming PC,” Considering the PlayStation platform provides a plethora of exclusives that cannot be found anywhere else and the simplicity that the console provides over PC gaming, I don’t find the statement to be too valuable, especially with the many more successful companies being excited for what Sony has to offer.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, Electronic Arts has announced their plan of compensation for the troubled launch of SimCity. With the game solely relying on internet-connected servers, EA’s inability to sustain efficient connection has rendered the game completely useless and while Electronic Arts is actively working to solve these complications, they are offering a free PC game download from Origin as an apology for the launch. To all of those who register their copy of SimCity before March 25th, you will have the ability to choose from Battlefield 3, Bejeweled 3, Dead Space 3, Mass Effect 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Plants vs. Zombies, or SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition for absolutely no charge as long as you redeem this offer by March 30th. EA is not giving customers too much time, so if you picked up the troubled release, be sure to register your copy if you haven’t already and redeem this offer as soon as you can.
