Protesters in Tahrir Square set a police pickup truck on fire on Monday (March 18), as unrest continues in the heart of the Egyptian capital.
Witnesses said that the police officer driving the vehicle was released before his truck was captured and set on fire.
Tahrir Square, the focal point of the uprising that toppled Hosni Mubarak, has been mostly closed to traffic for months.
Several police cars have been set on fire in Tahrir Square in recent weeks.
Young protesters man checkpoints around the square, which is near government buildings, including the Interior Ministry.
