At least two people died on Sunday (March 17) when a private jet crashed into houses in northern Indiana.

The pilot reported electrical problems as the jet tried to land at South Bend airport.

Several attempts were made before it stalled and crashed.

Three people were also injured.

SOUNDBITE: (English) BRIAN PRESTIN, WITNESS SAYING:

"Looked up and actually thought the plane was going to crash into our house. And I just hit the deck and I heard a loud boom noise and actually the plane went into three houses across the street from us."

It's not immediately clear whether those killed were onboard the plane or on the ground.

The jet was carrying four passengers.
