Tigmanshu Dhulia ‘s film Saheb,Bibi aur Gangster return is really different from other director’s films.
Indrajeet Singh aka Irrfan Khan wants to get his lost world of his ancestral princely clan. After three generations, he gets motivated to reign over. However, it is not easy because of existing king called Saheb.
Saheb is still posing as a king in democracy and he has influence in the politics of state.
Princely persons love their dominating nostalgia to subjugate the people , subjugate the women out their families and in their families. They fix their people in their fix position.
So ,Tigmanshu’s film SAHEB, bibi aur Gangster return manifests lopsided development of India, Indian politics where Indian democratic, socialist constitution co-exist with monarchical and feudal mindset.
In such a political and social structural backdrop, Indrajeet Singh a.k.a Irrfan Khan wants to revive his past golden era in new democratic set up of country by revenging the young dominating king Saheb A.K.A Jimmy Shergil who is sitting in wheel chair and runs the local and state politics .His wife Chhoti Rani A.K.A Mahie Gill who is drunkard MLA. She is a puppet in the hand of her husband Saheb and she is an ignored identity in Saheb’s life. Saheb uses her only and he wants to get married to a princess aka Soha Ali Khan and it is a bone of contention for Indrajeet Singh. Soha loves Indrajeet .
Soha Ali Khan is sister of another king Raj Babbar who is also an score-settler sort of a person, engaging Irrfan Khan to reduce saheb’s influence politically and physically.
In such a dog fight situation, Love, sex and cheating…that means love, sex aur dhokha hi ho sakta hai… Soha sees her lover with chhoti rani aka Mahie in bed. She drifts to Saheb and they get married.

Indrajeet and Rani aka Mahie Gill both conspire but Indrajeet Singh kills himself and Saheb is imprisoned for murder of Indrajeet Singh. This is the madness and clan-ego revenge by perishing himself.
Irrfan Khan has created magic in his acting. His bulging eyes say a lot. Jimmy Shergil is also in wonderful performance. Mahie Gill is superb. Song does not have mush importance in this film. The songs and dances are there to quench the thirst of FEUDAL LORDS. This film is a political epic of North India.
