A firefighter discovers 3 bear cubs in a roadside box.
It's not too rare to find dogs on the road. But one firefighter recently found something else.
Brandon Poole had been traveling with his family in South Carolina when they noticed a cardboard box on the roadside.
He stopped the vehicle believing that there might be puppies inside. As Poole got closer, he heard bizarre noises coming from the box. When he peeked inside, he realized there were three small bear cubs.
Poole brought the babies to the fire station and after they were checked over, two were sent to a bear rescue organization in Tennessee while the third was taken to a park in South Carolina.
The cubs are said to be about a month old, each weighing approximately three pounds. Rescue workers will hand feed the babies until they get older.
The tiny bears are certainly adorable creatures.
In 2011, a small black cub wandered away from its mother and waltzed into a grocery store in Alaska.
The little creature apparently walked right through the automatic doors and hopped up onto the display of produce. A customer was able to grab the bear and assist police in bringing it back outside.
