Massive political furor has erupted over the Punjab policemen caught on camera beating a girl and her father. A girl had gone to the police station to report sexual harassment but instead taking their complaint, the attending policemen brutally beat the girl and her father. After a public outcry, the policemen have been suspended. The girl has also demanded strict action against the cops. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has ordered magisterial inquiry into the matter.
