Delta prototypes a new shower that will cure jet lag.

Who doesn't hate jet lag? Well, Delta Airlines has just demonstrated an innovative new way to fight jet lag.

At the TED conference in Long Beach, California, the Photon Shower was introduced.

The shower uses light to change the body clock of long distance travelers.

The Photon Shower was designed by Wieden and Kennedy, New York with the help of Doctor Russell Foster from Oxford University, a neuroscience professor specializing in the effects of light on our body clock.

A person has to enter their flight information into the light chamber, and the Photon Shower will adjust its settings based on the individual time change.

Absorbing the light emitted by the chamber mimics the effects of daylight, functioning as a therapeutic energy boost for weary passengers/.

The Photon Shower is similar to Re-Timer glasses, which are light weight glasses designed by sleep psychologist’s from Flinders University in Australia.

They shine soft green light on a person’s eyes as a way to change their body clock.

The Re-Timer glasses work to fight jetlag, give people more energy during winter, or help shift workers who need to wake up when it’s still dark outside.
