Retired U.S. basketball player Dennis Rodman arrived in Beijing Friday, after four days in North Korea where he met with the reclusive country's leader, Kim Jong-un.

NATS REPORTER "What did Kim say to you?"

Rodman was tight lipped with reporters on his arrival, but earlier when leaving Pyongyang, the flamboyant basketball player famed for his tattoos had good things to say about Kim.

"He's an awesome kid, He's an awesome guy."

Rodman was in North Korea to tape a television documentary.

He was seen on North Korean media enjoying a basketball game with Kim, reportedly an avid NBA fan.

"I'm going back to the America. I'm going to see my kids first, hug them, and tell them one thing, 'Don't hate people'. That's first thing I want to say. Guess what, life is not about that."

Rodman's visit comes two weeks after North Korea conducted a nuclear test, in defiance of U.N. resolutions.
