Some thieves make things too easy for the cops.

A crime occurred at a mobile home park in Lawrence, Kansas when a burglar entered the residence while the occupants were away.

The culprit made off with Chinese meditation balls, a Japanese-style sword and a blind black kitty. A little while later, the crook entered another nearby home, barging right through the front door and eating the residents’ food.

The homeowners were able to flee to a neighbor’s house, where they called police. The male suspect had no shirt or shoes on. However he was sporting a sword on his waist. He was also carrying a cat and meditation balls.

Police identified the thief as 31-year-old Blake Robert Hurd. He was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of theft.

Last year, an alleged burglar in Illinois entered an unknown house after he ran out of gas. The suspect, 32-year-old Daniel Bailey reportedly played with the homeowners’ cat, turned on their Christmas lights, watched some TV and ate half of a coffee cake.
The police were eventually called and Bailey was arrested for residential burglary and theft after microwavable dinners from the homeowner’s freezer had been found in his car.
