Josh Groban is a familiar voice in the pop/classical music world. The 31-year-old Los Angeles born singer is releasing his sixth studio album "All That Echoes" with a mix of covers and his own creations.

For Groban, appeasing his large fan base is only part of the fun in making a new record.

SOUNDBITE: Josh Groban, saying (English):

"I know at this point if I stay true to what I feel I do well. And if I feel that I'm making music that I'm passionate about and honest about. That my fans, for the most part, will be pretty in to it. You can never know for sure. It's not about walking out of your lane and scaring people, it's about slightly expanding what your lane is and allowing all of that to be part of your world."

Groban has started to branch out more than just musically, getting his feet wet in the world of acting. In recent years he's had a role on "The Office," appeared in the film "Crazy Stupid Love," and most recently will make cameo appearance as himself on "CSI: NY."

If he had his dream gig, Groban would be fronting rock band Queen for a day. But in the more foreseeable future, he hopes to be making regular appearances on the theater stage.

SOUNDBITE: Josh Groban, saying (English):

"There are only so many albums I'm going to want to make before I decide to go and follow that dream for a minute or longer than a minute. I think that there will come a time very soon, hopefully in the next two or three years, where I'll take out a big chunk of time and dedicate it to theater."

"All That Echoes" goes on sale on February 5 and Groban will travel to Australia in April for a mini-tour to promote the record.
