Armenia's presidential elections are to go ahead, despite the shooting of one of the candidates.

Paruyr Hayrikyan suffered a shoulder wound in the attack near his home last Thursday.

He stands just an outside chance of winning the February 18 vote, with incumbent Serzh Sarksyan expected to win a second five-year term.
