One Greenwich Public School is working to create global citizens with a distinguished honor.

The New Lebanon School has been authorized as an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme World School.

The IB curriculum promotes inquiry and the development of critical thinking skills as well as keeping students engaged in the classroom.
Principal Barbara Riccio says the authorization was a community effort.

Superintendent Dr. McKersie hopes that the Greenwich Public Schools continue to strive for excellence.

Only 13 schools in Connecticut are IB World Schools, 3 of which are in Greenwich.
