In the line of fire for making controversial comments at Jaipur Literature Festival, now eminent scholar and sociologist Ashis Nandy is hoping for a reprieve from the Supreme Court. To quash the FIR lodged against him under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Seeking an urgent hearing, advocate Aman Lekhi, appearing for Nandy, pleaded the apex court to intervene in the matter as there is "serious apprehension" of him being arrested.
