Steve Holliday became Chief executive officer of National Grid in Jan 07 having joined National Grid Group plc as Group Director, UK and Europe in March '01. After the merging of National Grid Group plc and Lattice Group plc in Oct 2002, he was in charge of the electricity and gas transmission establishments. He was chosen as Group Director in control of UK Gas Distribution and Business Services in April 2003. He was previously an Executive Director of British Borneo Oil and Gas. Previously, he spent Nineteen years with the Exxon Group, where he held senior roles in the international gas business and managed key functional aspects including refining and shipping.
