Four arrests are made after the nightclub fire in Brazil.

our people were arrested by Brazilian authorities Monday in connection with the nightclub fire in Santa Maria, Brazil last Sunday.

The suspects include the club's two owners, a security guard, and a band member who was performing the pyrotechnics show that triggered the blaze.

Police forensic teams have begun inspecting the scene of the blaze that occurred early in the morning, leaving at least 245 dead and hundreds more injured.

Santa Maria is a quiet university city in south Brazil.

But now it is filled with sorrow and anger.

Stunned residents have been attending the endless funerals for the tragedy's hundreds of victims since Monday morning.

Many mourners are questioning why people trapped when the club was engulfed in flames, had so little chance to escape.

According to one survivor, the disaster unfolded very quickly.

After the ceiling ignited, the entire club was filled with toxic smoke within minutes.

Most of the victims were suffocated by toxic fumes.

One government official said that some relevant laws need to be established at the federal, state, and municipal levels in order to establish who should be responsible for the oversight.

For now, however, the sorrow lingers on for Brazilians, with one resident saying that it felt as though an entire generation had been lost.
