Barry Manilow back on Broadway after health scare

Kicking off his Broadway comeback, Barry Manilow delights his fans with set list crammed full of hits.

The 69-year-old star thrilled die-hard fans with his collection of classic pop songs, which include 'Copacabana', 'I Write the Songs' and and 'Looks Like We Made It'.

But he nearly didn't make it - after a bout of bronchitis forced him to cancel the original opening last week.

The veteran showman did manage to shake it off but was still a little under the weather.

SOUNDBITE: Barry Manilow, saying (English):

"It's basically a greatest hits show and it's a real audience show. God, I sound hoarse so I got to shut up. Nice talking to you all."

After the hit-laden set the star headed to the show's after party at, appropriately, the Copacabana night club.
