Cambodian police arrest bank hold-up suspects

Cambodian police arrest six men for suspected involvement in a staged bank hold-up on Wednesday.

The alleged hostage situation started on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities heard about out it the next morning when a man who identified himself as an escaped hostage approached the police.

After questioning the man they determined it was a set up and offered the men inside the bank the drugs they wanted as ransom.

Once the suspects came out, police raided the bank and confirmed that there were no hostages.

Police said the suspects, one armed with a gun, tried to escape on motorbikes but were stopped.

Five of those arrested were employees of the bank -- the case is still under investigation.
