Police and Taliban killed in hours-long Kabul attack

Blasts in the west of the Afghan capital have left at least three Kabul traffic police and five Taliban attackers dead after an eight-hour-long battle that followed. Fearing night guards and traffic operators were in the building, the Afghan Naitonal Security Forces worked cautiously to contain Taliban fighters in the four-storey building housing the Kabul traffic police headquarters.
