Lake Chad, Africa's fourth largest lake after Lake Victoria, Tanganyika and Nyasa has lost 90% of its water in the last four decades, an environmental catastrophe which threatens the livelihood of over 30 Million.
According to the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), the social and economic repercussions of the drying up of the lake may not only affect the African sub-Saharan region but also pose a potential challenge to Europe as a favorite destination for massive migration movements.
